Local substitute teacher arrested for criminal sexual conduct
HARRIS TOWNSHIP – A Gladstone resident and substitute teacher was arrested for second degree criminal sexual conduct following an investigation at the Bark River-Harris School, according to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office.
Timothy Charles Brandt, 58, was arraigned in the 95A District Court on Thursday on two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct. He remains lodged in the Menominee County Jail on a 5,000 cash/surety bond as of Thursday evening.
Menominee County Sheriff Darrin Kudwa reports in December 2025, the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer received a complaint regarding an incident at the Bark River-Harris School involving a substitute teacher and minor students.
Brandt was arrested by a Menominee County Sheriff’s Office Detective following the investigation into the report.
He was lodged at the Menominee County Jail on Feb. 24 at approximately 9 a.m.
Brandt’s next court appearance is unknown at the time of this report.
