Six arrested after fentanyl, meth seized in Marinette County

MARINETTE, Wis. — Six people were taken into custody last week after a search warrant was executed in the town of Niagara, Wis., resulting in the seizure of purple fentanyl, methamphetamine and other drugs, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Thursday.

Arrested on various drug-related and other charges were: Jason R. Bjorkman, Robert R. Bjorkman and Clarence R. Bjorkman of Niagara; Joanna G. Ostermann and Levi M. Bjorkman of Kingsford; and Samantha E. Polchies of Aurora, Wis., according to Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller.

The Dec. 12 search at N21784 Chapman Road located a total of 191.926 grams of methamphetamine, 6.315 grams of purple fentanyl, 72.72 grams of marijuana and 146 illegal prescription pills, Miller said.

Multiple stolen firearms were also found during the search, he said.

Assisting were the KIND drug team from Dickinson County, Niagara Police Department, Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit.

In the news release, Miller noted the charges are only allegations.
