IRON MOUNTAIN — The Upper Peninsula’s not seasonally adjusted jobless rate fell to 4.4% in September, down from 5.8% in August and 5% a year ago, according to data released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
Release of the information was delayed by the federal government shutdown during October through mid-November. No employment report is expected for October while information for November is scheduled to be released early next year, MDTMB said.
