MANISTIQUE — Two incumbents will return to the Manistique City Council after running unopposed in Tuesday’s election.

Cathy Rohde, the city’s currently mayor pro-tem, and Mike Perilloux, who was mayor from 2018 to 2020, were both first appointed in 2018. Rohde drew 152 votes on Tuesday, Perilloux 113.

Less than 7% of registered voters in the city cast ballots — 173 of 2,596.

Manistique has a five-member council with staggered four-year terms. Rohde and Perilloux will work alongside Irma Gonzalez-Hider, Joan Ecclesine and Mayor Kimberly Shiner.

The council meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of each month in City Hall, 300 N. Maple S. in Manistique.
