ESCANABA — Cleanup was underway at the Delta Plaza Mall after a vehicle smashed into an exterior wall Sunday.

A dark gray pickup truck Sunday afternoon hit the back side of Dunham’s Sports head-on, just east of the main entrance to L&M Fleet Supply and facing UP North Lanes and Sports Bar.

Lt. Jeff Erickson with Escanaba Public Safety said no details on the incident would be released until the investigation had concluded.

Escanaba Public Safety, Delta County Sheriff’s Office, UP Health System and Gene’s Towing all responded to the crash.
