City council seats on ballot in Manistique, Menominee
Voters in Manistique and Menominee will choose city council members in Tuesday’s general elections.
The Menominee City Council has single seats on the ballot in each of its four wards.
In the First Ward, incumbent Michael DeDamos is being challenged by Donna S. Larsen. DeDamos was first elected in 2021.
In the Second Ward, the candidates are Windy-Marie Kerkela and Beth Peanosky. Incumbent William Plemel did not seek the seat.
In the Third Ward, incumbent Josh Jones is unopposed; he has been on the council since 2021.
In the Fourth Ward, Vincent Baron faces Christina Vargo. Incumbent Doug Robinson chose not to seek reelection.
In Manistique in Schoolcraft County, two candidates are seeking reelection to two seats. Both Mike Perilloux and Cathy Rohde have been on the council since 2018.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
