ESCANABA — Visitors to the Daily Press looking to pay subscriptions, buy ads, drop off bingo cards or otherwise do business on premises at 600 Ludington St. recently may have found the front door difficult to reach.
Construction on Escanaba’s main street to upgrade city infrastructure has reached the doorstep of the newspaper’s headquarters, which dates to the 1890s.
While it is anticipated the main entrance will be accessible, if it is not, people can use the side or rear door that usually is for employee access only, and call 906-486-2021, ext. 161, to be let in. The rear door opens to the Eagles Club parking lot, and the side entrance faces North Sixth Street.
Certain types of Daily Press business may be done entirely by phone as well.
