NIAGARA, Wis. — A 54-year-old Niagara, Wis., man was killed in motorcycle crash Saturday in Marinette County about one-fourth mile east of U.S. 141 in town of Niagara.

Christopher Recla was northbound on Wishman Road when he lost control and crashed at about 5:49 p.m., Sheriff Randy Miller said in a news release Sunday. Recla, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained fatal injuries.

Failure to negotiate a corner and failure to maintain control appear to have been factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office, Miller said.

Assisting were the Niagara Fire Department, Niagara Rescue and Town and Country Towing.
