U.P. roadside parks closing for upgrades

ISHPEMING — Several Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula will be closed for new toilet building installation beginning next week.

– M-28 Lake Superior Roadside Park, Marquette County (closed the morning of Monday, Aug. 4).

– M-95 Leif Erickson Roadside Park, Marquette County (closed the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 6).

– US-41 Baraga Cliff Roadside Park, Baraga County (closed the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 6).

M-28 Ewen Pines Roadside Park, Ontonagon County (closed the morning of Thursday, Aug. 7).

-US-2 Larson Roadside Park, Iron County (closed the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 13).

US-2/US-141 Alpha Roadside Park, Iron County (closed the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 13).

Each roadside park is expected to be closed for about two weeks.
