ESCANABA — Starting Tuesday, First Avenue South from Lake Shore Drive to South Second Street will be closed until work is completed.

This closure is due to preparation for asphalt. The road is expected to be reopened by the end of the week.

Residents can expect some delays and are asked to avoid this area if possible.
