CEDAR RIVER — The Cedar River BridgeWalk is set for Saturday starting at 10 a.m. Central time at the Cedarville Township Hall, Old Mill Road and M-35 next to the Cedar River State Harbor.

The walk starts at 11 a.m. and ends at the Halfway Bar & Grill, N8241 M-35, where festivities await.

The event will once again have the Tommy Bolen Memorial Joke Contest, with Halfway Bar & Grill gift certificates of $50 for first place, $30 for second and $20 for third.

The day’s activities include (all are Central times) —

— 10 a.m.: Music by a real Disney World musician, Township Hall;

— 10:45 a.m.: Opening ceremonies; Township Hall;

— 11 a.m.: Start of BridgeWalk2025 over the Cedar River to the Halfway Bar & Grill;

— 11 a.m.: Music by Josh Friedland Band, music stage, backyard of the Halfway Bar & Grill;

— 12:30 p.m.: Tommy Bolen Memorial Joke Contest, music stage.

A wide variety of vendors are expected at the Halfway Bar & Grill. Chicken s–t bingo and 50-50 raffles will be done throughout the day. Hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, and a variety of cold beverages will be available.

The Cedar River BridgeWalk2025 is a fundraiser for the Cedarville Township Volunteer Fire Department and Cedar River Chapel, catered and sponsored by the Halfway Bar & Grill.

This year’s Cedar River BridgeWalk has taken place 33 times since its inception in 1984 and is now in its 14th year of its revival.
