At Jones Elementary School in Gladstone, an astronomy night was recently hosted for Mrs. Ferrari’s fifth grade science class recently. The Delta Astronomical Society (DAS) taught the students how a telescope works and brought along a few models that the students were able to look through at the night sky. For the students, “it brings to life the reality of the solar system,” said Ferrari, noting that it was the second time such an event has been arranged for fifth-graders at Jones.
