Karen Moore and Mary Blaiser fill planters along Ludington Street maintained by Enhance Escanaba. This is the fourth year the nonprofit has decorated the 36 cement flowerpots between 7th and 15th Streets on Escanaba’s main downtown spur with annuals. This year’s assortment includes lime green sweet potato vines, wave petunias, yellow argyranthemum (daisies), coleus and canna lilies — “thrillers, fillers and spillers,” as Chenier called them. The plants, funding for which was made possible through a grant from the Community Foundation, were delivered from Chenier’s Greenhouse to Center Court (the Downtown Development Authority building at 1025 Ludington St.) on Tuesday afternoon along with several hanging baskets for the tree sculpture outside Center Court, which is a project of the Delta County Master Gardener Association.

Starting at $3.50/week.
