ESCANABA — An article published on Nov. 19 incorrectly stated the date of the upcoming cooking show at the Island Resort and Casino. The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and “Taste of the Island: Holiday Edition” running from 6 to 9 p.m.

Cooking demonstrations will be given for holiday side dishes, and an artistic pastry chef will decorate cookies. Guests will be fed and may also enjoy the chocolate fountain that will be present.

Tickets are available now at the casino, at the Daily Press, and at Elmer’s County Market. Only 300 are available, and no tickets will be sold at the door on the 10th.
