ESCANABA — The third and final Pink Fest event, which benefits the Delta County Cancer Alliance, will take place Thursday at Cheniers Reef in Escanaba from 4 to 6 p.m.

The event is co-sponsored by the cancer alliance and the Daily Press and features bras decorated by local individuals and businesses. Guests of the event at Cheniers Reef will be able to purchase votes for $2 each or three for $5 and cast those votes for their favorite bra.

Voting in the contest also took place during the first two Pink Fest events, which were held Oct. 3 at Cat-Man-Do’s in Escanaba and Oct. 10 at the Rapid River Pub.

In addition to voting, each venue offered specialty drinks, games and cancer-related information. Thursday’s specialty drink is the “strawberry lemon drop,” which will be available for $4. All proceeds will go to the cancer alliance.

Funds raised by the Pink Fest events will be used by the cancer alliance to assist Delta County residents who are battling cancer pay for cancer-related expenses.
