UP Health System Hospice and Jim’s Dari Kreme hosted a remembrance for those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. The event was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jim’s Dairy Kreme with an ice cream social and a moment of silence. “We are blessed that Jim’s Dairy Kreme has participated every single year,” said UP Health System Hospice Account Executive Rachel Camp. It was the third annual 9/11 memorial event at Jim’s Dari Creme. “People who come by are welcome to get free ice cream, which is always nice, and then we have a moment of silence, we play Taps and just kind of remember that tremendous moment that changed our history back in 2001,” she said.
