A veteran prepares to have his photo taken as he prepares to take part in U.P. Honor Flight Mission XXIV at the Delta County Airport Wednesday morning. The Honor Flight’s trip to Washington DC was postponed after waiting to depart several hours because of fog. Because of the fog, the plane taking the veterans to Washington could not land at the local airport. Honor Flight is now scheduled to depart the Delta County Airport at 9 a.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 19, with veterans arriving at the airport at 7:30 a.m. The veterans will return to the local airport at 10 p.m. tonight. The public is encouraged to welcome them.
