GLADSTONE — Bob Snowaert was selected as the 2024 Gladstone Fourth of July Parade grand marshal.

Born and raised in Gladstone, Snowaert has faithfully served the community of Gladstone for 48 years fighting fires, conducting ice rescues, and serving as a steward to the young firefighters that join the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department.

He hung up his gear for the last time in March 2023.

“The City of Gladstone, as well as its residents, are so appreciative for his valuable service to this community,” city officials said.
