ESCANABA — Rock the Dock, organized by the City of Escanaba Recreation Department and the Downtown Development Authority and funded by a number of local sponsors, is returning to Escanaba’s Municipal Dock this Saturday, Aug. 3.

Beginning at 4 p.m., the public may enjoy for free the setting at the dock — which is at the northernmost part of Ludington Park and found at the eastern end of Ludington Street — and are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and coolers.

A petting zoo will be on site from 4 to 7 p.m., and bounce houses and obstacle courses are slated to be from 4 to 8 p.m.

The music begins at 4:45 with a performance by Croven, who are to play until 5:45 p.m. From 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. will be the music of young band PickStop. Sit Down Francis rounds out the night, playing from 8:15 to 9:45 p.m.

Vendors attending the event are Cups and Cones, Express Coffee, Main Squeeze Papa Lee’s Sweets and Treats, Papa Lee’s Walking Balloons, Phoenix Mobile Arcade, Schaffer Services selling hot dogs and Johnsonville brats, Sticky Fingers, Superior Lemonade, Wildmans Munchie Mobile and Yooper Shaved Ice.
