Cruise ship docking in Escanaba Sunday

ESCANABA — The Pearl Mist Cruise Ship, owned by Pearl Seas Cruises, is scheduled to dock at Escanaba’s North Shore Marine Terminal & Logistics Dock, located along 1st Avenue North, behind the Escanaba Public Library, at 6:30 a.m. EST on Sunday, June 23. The ship will stay docked in Escanaba all day, with the ship scheduled to depart at approximately 11 p.m. Sunday.

“We are looking forward to welcoming another cruise ship, the Pearl Mist, to Escanaba and to North Shore Marine Terminal this Sunday,” said Nick Kobasic, president of North Shore Marine Terminal & Logistics. “Delta County has become known for the warm hospitality shown to the passengers and crew aboard the cruise ships visiting our area last summer, and we want to encourage everyone to continue the enthusiasm this summer during the Pearl Mist’s visit.”

Sunday’s stop in Escanaba is part of the Pearl Seas “Great Lakes Explorer” 15-day itinerary, which begins in Toronto, and includes stops in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, along with the following ports of call: Cleveland; Detroit; Midland, Ontario, Canada; Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada; Mackinac Island; Sault Ste. Marie; Marquette; Thunder Bay, Ontario; and Duluth, Minn.
