Members of the Fleury family piece together the "What a Wonderful World" jigsaw puzzle in the Powers Gallery at the Bonifas Arts Center Saturday. The 60,000 piece puzzle, produced by Dowdle Folk Art, is the largest commercially available jigsaw puzzle, measuring 8 feet tall by 29 feet wide and weighing 100 pounds. The puzzle is packaged as 60 1,000-piece puzzles, which members of the Fleury family pieced together over multiple months. They then placed each of the smaller puzzles on a sheet of Styrofoam so the puzzles remained flat until the whole puzzle could be assembled. In total, 15 people worked on the puzzle. When finished, the image contained a map of the world with scenes from across the globe filling the oceans and seas. Assisting with the project was Kate Oman, Bonifas gallery director.
