Upper Peninsula man charged in Seney road rage shooting

SENEY — A Gwinn man who shot at another vehicle in a road rage incident last month has been charged in the 93rd District Court.

According to information released by the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post and court filings, Harley Davidson Locklear, age 27, of Gwinn, shot at another vehicle with a pistol on Jan. 29 during an alleged road rage incident that took place around 6 p.m. on M-28 near Seney.

Numerous tips were received by the Michigan State Police about Locklear and his vehicle, an orange Hyundai SUV. Those tips were used to locate and identify Locklear, who was was arrested on Jan. 31 and lodged in the Schoolcraft County Jail.

At noon Thursday, Locklear was arraigned and charged with four felony counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault, and felony firearm possession. Bond was set at $10,000.

Court records list Sara Rae MacGregor as as Locklear’s attorney.
