Residents asked not to push snow in streets
ESCANABA — The City of Escanaba is reminding residents and contractors not to push snow into city streets when clearing their driveways, parking lots, businesses, and other areas. Also, please remember to not push snow across a street or avenue. This is an important safety issue for residents and it’s against the law.
Along with the
safety issues involved, pushing snow onto city streets increases the costs for plowing and removal. Residents are reminded that it is in violation of Section 257.677a of the Michigan Motor Vehicle Code and City of Escanaba Code of Ordinances section 24-1.
