ESCANABA -- Escanaba Public Safety officers are investigating a fire that destroyed a vehicle on the city's southside late Tuesday night.
Officers were called to the 800 block of South 12th Street for a vehicle fire. They found that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames that were starting to catch a nearby tree on fire. Officers were able to extinguish the blaze quickly and ensure no further damage to surrounding property.
The fire is currently under investigation.
Officers were assisted by Delta County Central Dispatch.
