ESCANABA -- The Senior Expo, a free, informative event geared towards senior citizens, returns to Escanaba on Tuesday. To accommodate up to 400 attendees, the expo will be held in the Ruth Butler Building on the Upper Peninsula State Fairgrounds. Tickets may be collected at the Daily Press at 600 Ludington St. and double as entry forms for the prize drawings that will occur between speakers at the event.
The talks that will take place at the event are on a variety of topics, all of which apply to senior living. Each speaker is alotted a span of about 20 minutes.
2023's Senior Expo will take place from 9:40 the morning of the 26th and is scheduled to run until about 2:30 p.m.
The first presentation will be given at by Kayela Kuehl of Lilly Dermatology beginning at 10:05 a.m. Following will be Katherine Clark of Upper Michigan Law, Kelly Jefferson of OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group, John Stapleton of DATA, Hailey Heusinger and of Transition Assisted Living, a four-person team from Skradski Family Funeral Homes, and Dr. David Cable of UP Health System.
Tickets for prizes will drawn after each presentation. Lunch, coffee, and doughnuts will be provided at no cost.
In order to be granted admission to the event, each person attending the expo must bring one canned good, which will be collected and donated to a local food pantry.
