Beach-goers enjoy the sun and water Tuesday afternoon at the Escanaba Municipal beach. Today is the official first day of summer and a good time to hit the beach. The Escanaba beach opened last week. Hours are 12 to 7 p.m. seven days a week with certified lifeguards.
