U.P. veterans and and their companions make preparations to board a plane Wednesday morning at the Delta County Airport during U.P. Honor Flight’s Mission XXI. The veterans had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC for the day. While there, they are given a tour to view the monuments that have been constructed in their honor. Although Honor Flights were canceled during the pandemic, the group is back organizing two flights a year for U.P. veterans. The next Honor Flight will be September 13.
