The Escanaba Public Library Bookmobile made its debut Saturday at the Northern Lights YMCA Funfest in Escanaba. The bookmobile, which is funded entirely through federal grant dollars and sponsored by the Friends of the Escanaba Library, will make a number of appearances this summer, including the Friends of the Escanaba Library Ice Cream Social on June 1, Live on the Lawn at the library on June 26, Escanaba’s Independence Day Celebration in Ludington Park on July 1, and at pop-up events throughout the summer at places like the city’s farmers market and the municipal beach.
