ESCANABA -- The Delta County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday to hire Ashleigh Young as the county's new administrator. Young has served as the county's interim administrator as well as controller since the termination of Former Delta County Administrator Emily DeSalvo earlier this year.
The board voted in a 3-2 split vote to hire Young as DeSalvo's permanent replacement. Commissioners Bob Petersen, Bob Barron, and Board Chair Dave Moyle voted in favor of Young's hire. Commissioners Steve Viau and John Malnar voted against the decision.
