Two charged with distributing drugs

BARAGA — Two people have been charged with allegedly distributing drugs in the Western Upper Peninsula.

On December 4, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) arrested Mark Granlund, 27, of Marquette on two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, a 20 year felony and Habitual Offender-2nd Notice. The arrest was the result of a one-month investigation where detectives determined Granlund was distributing methamphetamine in the Baraga County area. Granlund was arraigned in 97th District Court, Baraga County and his bond was set at $10,000.

On December 6, detectives arrested Kelly Burich, 30, of Hancock, on four counts of Delivery of Suboxone, a seven year felony. The arrest was the result of a six-month investigation of Burich selling illegal drugs in the Hancock area. Burich was arraigned in 97th District Court, Houghton County and her bond was set at $1,000 on each count.
