Christmas in the Village continues at fairgrounds
ESCANABA — The U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Association will once again bring Yuletide fun for the entire family to the Antique Village at the U.P. State Fairgrounds with the annual Christmas in The Village event, taking place this Friday and Saturday. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days.
Guests of the event will be able to visit with Father Christmas, peruse arts and crafts from local vendors and artisans, enjoy carols in the Community Chapel, warm up by a bonfire in the Village Square and get complimentary roasted chestnuts in the Agricultural Museum. There will also be wagon rides, photo ops, a cookie sale, popcorn, hot chocolate, a quilt raffle, can raffles and other goodies.
The event is free, though guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food donation, which will be given to a local food pantry.
