ESCANABA — You may notice that today’s Daily Press is a little different than usual. Although there are normally two sections of the Daily Press — the news and sports sections — today there is only one. There is still both news and sports coverage. Nothing has been omitted. The paper has just has been printed in one section.

The reason for this is the Daily Press is making major improvements at our printing plant located in Powers. New presses and printing equipment is being installed that will improve the print quality of the paper. Until the equipment is installed, we will only be able to print one combined section.

We are working to resume normal publication as soon as possible.
