City manager offered position downstate
IONIA, Mich. — Patrick Jordan, who has served as Escanaba’s city manager since 2017, has been offered a county administrator position in the western Lower Peninsula.
The Ionia County Board of Commissioners approved an employment agreement with Jordan on Oct. 18 in a unanimous vote. The contract is contingent upon a background check by the Michigan Municipal League and review from the county’s attorney.
Jordan is being offered a one year contract, beginning Nov. 21, which can be extended to up to three years. He will be paid a salary of $115,000, will be increased to $117,500 after six months of employment under the proposed contract.
