Above, law enforcement responded to a bomb threat against the Escanaba Junior/Senior High School around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to the school district, all schools were put into non-emergency lockdowns, there was an increased law enforcement presence at each building and all of the buildings were searched thoroughly. Students were dismissed at their regular time, but parents were allowed to pick their children up early, prompting long lines of vehicles near schools. The bomb threat was made via a telephone call from a non-local number.
