ESCANABA — YooperFest will be held Saturday on Ludington Street in downtown Escanaba. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Games, food, vendors and music will be featured, including a “Battle of the Bands” from 3 to 8 p.m. All proceeds go to End The Silence Walk.

End the Silence, a depression awareness and suicide prevention walk, is also scheduled for Saturday at the Ludington Park Pavilion in Escanaba. Money raised from the walk provides funding for The Delta County Suicide Prevention Taskforce. Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m., which will occur rain or shine. The opening ceremony will start at 10 a.m., with the non-competitive walk/run to follow.
