A kayak launch was installed this week on Aronson Island, located to the right by the first parking lot. The launch was donated by Mary Blasier in memory of her husband, Dr. Ralph Blasier. Signage will be installed in the near future. Escanaba Recreation Director Kim Peterson said the kayak launch has been listed within the projects to be completed in the city’s Five-Year Recreation Plan. It was installed by Waters Edge of Howell, Michigan.
