ESCANABA — Delta Solid Waste Management Authority Board of Directors are announce it is partnering with the Marquette Solid Waste Management Authority to enhance the current recycling program in Delta County and utilize Marquette’s newly renovated recycling center.

Delta County residents will still bring their recyclables to Delta County Landfill. The difference is now some of the recyclables will be loaded and trucked to the Marquette landfill. This will allow the Delta County Landfill to offer more recycling options. Residents can continue to recycle paper, clean corrugated cardboard, aluminum, tin and steel cans, #1 and #2 plastics. Now they can also recycle #3-#7 plastics.

Residents who wish to recycle glass can bring that directly to the Marquette County Landfill. It does need to be in a separate container and unbroken. Glass cannot come to the Delta County Landfill for recycling.
