SAULT STE. MARIE — A man who was sought by police for questioning in a homicide in Pickford has been found dead, according to Michigan State Police at the Sault Ste. Marie Post.

“Troopers have located Jarett Woodgate, deceased near his residence in Sault Ste. Marie. Woodgate was the person of interest wanted for questioning in the homicide of 42-year-old Melissa Beaudry. Beaudry was from the Sault Ste. Marie area. The investigation is on-going. Troopers advise there is no threat to the public,” State Police said in a press release.

Woodgate, 49, was a resident of the Sault Ste. Marie area

Troopers are continuing their investigation of the apparent homicide, which was reported Sunday evening in Pickford at 4284 Clauss Row at about 10:02 p.m.
