ESCANABA -- Effective Monday, March 7, OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group will close its COVID-19 drive-thru testing center. In addition, the local COVID-19 triage phone line will no longer be active.
These changes are the result of a dramatic decrease in volume over the past few weeks. For those in need of a COVID-19 test, options include, using an at-home test, a local retail pharmacy or contacting your primary care provider's office.
If you are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19 and would like to be evaluated, OSF recommends going to its Walk-in Clinic. For moderate to severe COVID-19 symptoms, individuals should go to the nearest emergency department.
At this time, in accordance with federal guidelines, masks are still required in health care settings regardless of vaccination status. In addition, visitation limits remain in effect at OSF, however, in-person support is permitted. Those providing in-person support should:
-- Submit to a COVID-19 screening and wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
-- Wear appropriate PPE, perform hand hygiene and maintain safety precautions during their visit.
-- Be 18 years of age or older.
