Preparing the feast

Volunteers prepare potatoes for the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner, which took place at the Escanaba High School Thursday. The dinner, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, took place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with guests dropping in for a hot meal throughout the event — a stark change from past dinners that required all attending to be present at the same time. The change was made to allow for better social distancing.
