MARQUETTE -- The four newspapers in the Upper Peninsula started a new and exciting feature with today's edition -- a weekly weather package from none other than Karl Bohnak.
Known informally as the "Upper Peninsula Weather man" for his decades of work at TV6, "Karl's Corner" will include a five-day forecast and special weather message from Bohnak.
The package is on page 2A of today's Daily Press.
"This column is a great opportunity for me, since I like writing. It will give me a chance to reach another segment of our U.P. population," Bohnak said. "The column will include some historical tidbits and a look ahead to the coming week."
The feature will run on Fridays in The Daily Press, The Mining Journal in Marquette, The Daily Mining Gazette in Houghton and The Daily News in Iron Mountain.
