ESCANABA -- An Escanaba man was arrested for aggravated domestic assault after Escanaba Public Safety officers checked on the well-being of a local woman Thursday.
At 6:07 p.m., officers were called to 415 S, 17th St. A person had told officers they had went to the residence and found a bloody handprint on a wall and had not heard from the woman who had been there.
Officers found the woman inside the residence and she was injured. She was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital for treatment.
After further investigation, a man was arrested and lodged in the Delta County Correctional Facility for aggravated domestic assault.
