ESCANABA -- Local health officials Tuesday reported three more confirmed COVID-19 positives in Delta County and one in Menominee County.
The Public Health of Delta and Menominee Counties website Tuesday also listed one new probable coronavirus case in Delta County since its last update Friday. Neither county recorded a new death.
As of Tuesday, Delta County has had 3,346 confirmed positives, 695 probable cases and 93 deaths, according to PHDMC. Menominee County had 1,792 confirmed positives, 327 probable and 40 deaths. The deaths included confirmed and probable.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services' coronavirus website Tuesday added 11 new cases in the Upper Peninsula since Saturday: three in Delta and Luce counties; two in Houghton County; and one each in Chippewa, Keweenaw and Gogebic counties.
Using only the state's figures, the Upper Peninsula as of Tuesday has had 19,988 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 431 deaths.
Across the U.P., the MDHHS data site Tuesday had Keweenaw County at 145 confirmed cases and 32 probable, and one confirmed death and one probable death; Luce County, 221 confirmed cases and 253 probable, three confirmed death and one probable death; Alger County, 321 confirmed, 194 probable and two deaths, four probable; Schoolcraft County, 350 confirmed cases and 84 probable, four deaths and one probable; Ontonagon County, 417 confirmed, 58 probable and 20 deaths, one probable; Mackinac County, 452 confirmed cases and 253 probable, three deaths; Baraga County, 685 confirmed cases, 125 probable and 37 deaths; Iron County, 983 confirmed cases and 69 probable, 42 deaths and nine probable; Gogebic County, 1,040 confirmed cases and 362 proba
ble, 22 deaths and 28 probable; Chippewa County, 1,079 confirmed cases and 1,394 probable, and 28 deaths, five probable; Menominee County, 1,788 confirmed cases, 325 probable and 41 deaths, two probable; Dickinson County, 2,396 confirmed cases and 337 probable, 59 deaths and 15 probable; Houghton County, 2,523 confirmed cases, 606 probable, 34 deaths and eight probable; Delta County, 3,340 confirmed cases and 689 probable, 75 deaths and 19 probable; and Marquette County, 4,248 confirmed cases, 821 probable and 60 deaths, one probable. State figures are updated almost daily but can lag behind local reports or have other discrepancies.
The MDHHS on Tuesday posted 862 confirmed new coronavirus positives in Michigan since Saturday for a total to date of 888,581. The state Tuesday had 13 deaths attributed to the virus in the three-day period to reach 19,176.
