New stop signs planned at busy intersection

ESCANABA — There will be new stop signs placed on all three directions of travel at 3rd Avenue North and North 30th Street in Escanaba beginning around May 17, weather permitting. These new stop signs are needed to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce accidents in the immediate vicinity of this intersection, according to city officials.

Motorists are asked to slow down and use extra caution while driving around this area.

For any questions or concerns, contact Bob Becotte at the City of Escanaba Public Works Department at 906-786-1842 or Rob LaMarche at the Escanaba Public Safety Department at 906-786-5911.
