Upper Peninsula virus case total at 15,454
ESCANABA — As of Tuesday, the U.P. had 15,454 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 3,708 probable cases, 348 deaths and 79 probable deaths linked to the disease, according to state officials.
According to the state’s county-by-county count issued Tuesday, Delta County had a total of 2,580 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 450 probable cases, 61 deaths and 18 probable deaths; Menominee County had 1,557 confirmed cases, 246 probable cases, 34 deaths and two probable deaths; Schoolcraft County had 225 confirmed cases, 23 probable cases, four deaths and one probable death.
Elsewhere in the peninsula, Alger County had 236 confirmed cases, 144 probable cases, one deaths and two probable deaths; Baraga County had 481 confirmed cases, 90 probable cases, and 29 deaths; Chippewa County had 671 confirmed cases, 984 probable cases, 16 deaths and two probable deaths; Dickinson County had 2,072 confirmed cases, 217 probable cases, 56 deaths and 14 probable deaths; Gogebic County had 788 confirmed cases, 306 probable cases, 16 deaths and 24 probable deaths; Houghton County had 1,884 confirmed cases, 460 probable cases, 27 deaths and seven probable deaths; Iron County had 829 confirmed cases, 63 probable cases, 32 deaths and six probable deaths; Keweenaw County had 97 confirmed cases, 20 probable cases, one death and one probable death; Luce County had 129 confirmed cases, and 71 probable cases; Mackinac County had 271 confirmed cases, 137 probable cases, and three deaths; Marquette County had 3,342 confirmed cases, 467 probable cases, 53 deaths and one probable death; and Ontonagon County had 292 confirmed cases, 30 probable cases, 15 deaths and one probable death.
