Golden Ticket winners

Ilsa Minor | Daily Press

Above, the finalists of the Daily Press Golden Ticket Contest show off their own “Golden Tickets.” During November and December, children between the ages of 7 and 12 were asked locate the names of businesses featured on peppermint-shaped ads throughout the pages of the Daily Press. The children then wrote the names on a Golden Ticket entry form, and ten lucky finalists were drawn from the tickets on Dec. 23. Those finalists came to the Daily Press Wednesday to select bags of candy, and the child who picked the bag with a box of Peanut M&Ms was named the grand-prize winner. Shown above are, from left, back row: Lauren Pare of Gladstone, Aaliyah Ness of Gladstone, Makenzie Tryan of Escanaba, Jersey Kleikamp of Wilson; front row: Haven Kichura of Escanaba, Ambrosia Tauriainen of Escanaba, Alexis Scheuren of Bark River, and Allison Lesnieski of Gladstone. Not pictured are Serenity Smithson of McMillan and Isaac Leckson of Garden.
