U.P. COVID-19 cases near 10,000
ESCANABA — The Upper Peninsula had 9,993 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 1,677 probable cases, 169 deaths and 29 probable deaths linked to the disease, as of Wednesday according to state officials.
Delta County had a total of 1,907 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 243 probable cases and 46 deaths; Menominee County had 1,017 confirmed cases, 105 probable cases and 11 deaths; Schoolcraft County had 150 confirmed cases, 8 probable cases, one death and one probable death.
Elsewhere in the peninsula, Alger County had 137 confirmed cases, 55 probable cases, one death and one probable death; Baraga County had 308 confirmed cases, 46 probable cases and five deaths; Chippewa County had 262 confirmed cases and 335 probable cases, and two deaths; Dickinson County had 1,360 confirmed cases, 59 probable case 28 deaths and two probable deaths; Gogebic County had 497 confirmed cases, 181 probable cases, nine deaths and 10 probable deaths; Houghton County had 1,106 confirmed cases, 242 probable cases, eight deaths and two probable deaths; Iron County had 610 confirmed cases, 36 probable cases 27 deaths and four probable deaths; Keweenaw County had 45 confirmed cases, 10 and one death; Luce County had 105 confirmed cases and 41 probable case; Mackinac County had 185 confirmed cases and 48 probable cases; Marquette County had 2,079 confirmed cases, 242 probable cases and 23 deaths; and Ontonagon County had 225 confirmed cases 26 probable cases and seven deaths.
