Child porn case sent to circuit court

ESCANABA — An Escanaba man was recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court on 18 counts related to child pornography.

Richard Damien Feathers, Sr., 56, of 215 N. 20th St., Escanaba, was bound over on the following counts: one count of child sexually abusive material — aggravated possession, a ten-year felony with a maximum fine of $50,000; one count of computers — using to commit a crime — maximum imprisonment of ten years or more but less than 20 years, a ten-year felony with a maximum fine of $10,000 and reimbursement to the government for expenses incurred in relation to the violation; seven counts of child sexually abusive material — posession, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $10,000; eight counts of computers — using to commit a crime — maximum imprisonment of four years or more but less than 10 years, a seven-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000 and reimbursement to the government for expenses incurred in relation to the violation; and one count of children — accosting for immoral purposes, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $4,000.

The charges stem from incidents between Sept. 16, 2019 and Sept. 22, 2019 in Escanaba. Bond for Feathers was set at $150,000 cash/surety.
