Slow at the polls on election day

An election worker waits for residents to come to the polls during Tuesday’s Primary Election while a single resident fills out their ballot at Escanaba City Hall. According to workers, the precinct was slow, with only about ten residents casting ballots per hour. Despite the slow trickle of people, the precinct was set up to handle voters en masse, with social distancing marks on the floor, hand sanitizing stations, plexiglass, and a separate entrance and exit for the city council chambers.
