Ford River Township Hall

The Ford River Township Hall is closed to the public until April 6. Necessary appointments can be made by contacting the appropriate board member. All non-essential meetings are canceled; including the April 2 planning commission meeting and May 3 pancake breakfast.

Faith Lutheran Church

Faith Lutheran Church in Rock has canceled worship services through April 5, 2020, due to the current health crisis in the world.

Gladstone Public Safety

closes lobby

Gladstone Public Safety has closed its lobby to the public until further notice. The closure is a response to growing concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our hope with this rapidly changing situation is that by working together we can minimize the impact COVID-19 has on our community,” a press release stated.

Despite the office’s closure to the public, all Public Safety operations will continue as normal. Local residents can call 428-3131 or 911 for emergencies.

Pistol permits can be mailed to Gladstone Public Safety at 144 4th Ave. N.E., Gladstone, MI 49837.

FOIA requests can be found at www.gladstonemi.org.

Sex offenders required to verify must call Gladstone Public Safety at 428-3131 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, to arrange for verification. Failure to verify will result in non-compliance.

Menominee County courts

Menominee County’s courts are making some temporary changes in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

In the coming weeks, the county’s circuit, district and probate courts will continue to see cases that judges have determined cannot wait. Otherwise, cases are expected to be postponed. The county will begin contacting people that will be affected by these delays today.

Public access to the county courthouse is also being limited. People with essential business at the courthouse should call to make an appointment. Individuals will be screened at the door, and those who are ill or have a fever of more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit will be prohibited from entering the building. This order will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on April 5 unless otherwise directed.

Second Sunday Folk Dance

The April Second Sunday Folk Dance has been cancelled in keeping with appropriate social distancing at this time. The series plans to be ready to go for the 2020-2021 season starting October 11, 2020.

Conservation District and Parks office

Due to recent public health concerns, the Delta County Conservation District and Parks office are open by appointment only. Call 553-7700 or 786-1020 to make an appointment, park reservation or tree sale order.

Salem Lutheran Church, NALC

Salem Lutheran Church in Bark River has cancelled all public activities and worship services until further notice. Our office and sanctuary remain open and we are still a space of public prayer.
